Planning
for the International Seminar to be organized jointly by the Institute of Distance Education,
University of Kerala and the faculty of
Canterbury Christ Church University, UK, commenced in November.
It
was originally planned to commence
an e-pal academic interaction
programme with the students of CCCU and the
BEd. English trainees of the Govt. College of Teacher Education,
Thiruvananthapuram, prior to the face-
to- face interaction on 23 January 2014. But unfortunately it did
not work out smoothly as I
was transferred quite unexpectedly
to Govt. Brennen College of Teacher
Education, Thalassery.
However
the English Optional trainees were ready
with
multiple PPT’s for presentation. But finally when the schedule for the day (23 Jan 2014) was charted out, they
hardly had time for two presentations.

The programme was a
huge success. I have asked the trainees to offer their comments.
They have already
posted a report
in Google Drive and have invited the
guest students from UK whom they met
on 23 Jan 2014.
