Opinions
Today’s thought was
about opinions that one has about oneself. Don’t devaluate yourself. Building
up self esteem is very important. One should never be a crab who tries to pull
down others at the time of their excellence. Love yourself and be the best.

Thought:
Suicidal tendency in children.
Suicidal tendency in
children is exponentially increasing as per government statistics. Over
pampering children has made them so
sensitive. Problem solving ability should be developed among them. It is the
responsibility of teachers primarily, to look after children, to comfort them,
be approachable to them and guide them in proper direction to face the
ever-changing world and its challenges.

Thought:
How to be beautiful.
Beauty is not only
physical but is internal. Your actions show your beauty. The example set by
Malala Yousouf is class apart and her example explains this thought well
enough. Beauty should be defined in terms of the virtuousness that one
possesses.

Rash driving by two wheeler drivers.
Two wheelers are build to transport one or two
members easily. What we see in road is just the opposite. Over load in vehicles
are dangerous to both passengers and co-travellers on road. Avoid children
below ten years of age in two wheelers. Helmet should be must for both the
passengers.

Thought:
Reluctance of male teachers to enter the field of primary education.
Fewer
wages and no choice for promotion are the factors that hinder male teachers from
coming into this profession. Value education should be imparted, if not child
looses direction in life. Responsibility is with teachers both male and female.
Teachers at primary level should be respected like other professionals.
Children should be made aware of the dignity of teaching profession.

Thought:
Importance of Mother tongue.
Every language has
its own importance, its own history and pedigree. Learning a new language
always a advantage and learning that doesn’t make one forget one’s own mother
tongue. People who forget mother tongue are to be blamed not the new language.
For a multi lingual country like India a lingua franca like English is must. To
achieve greater goals one should have bilingual competence.

Thought:
Human rights Day
Today‘s
thought was about Human rights- its importance;evolution; formation; and
implementation. Child abuse, old age homes, atrocities against women, crime
rates are increasing day by day. India is the largest country in terms of
slavery. Bangladesh is known for human trafficking. In spite of all this, voice
of the underprivileged is still unheard.
Rousseau‘s statement “Man is born free but everywhere he is in chains” is
striking in this scenario.

Thought:
Friendship
In old times bonds
were stronger. Now friends are superficial as they don’t share deep bonds. The
more facilities we have the less honest we are in a relationship. Now friends
are through Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp. Closest friends are the friends
that we get during our adolescent age. Good friends will make us a refined
person.

Thought
: Lack of self confidence.
Parents and teachers
play a crucial role in developing self confidence in children. It can be achieved through experience only. Lower self
confidence is because of comparison with brighter students. The advice that
Arjuna got from lord Krishna and Vivekananda from Sri Ramakrishna is to believe
in yourself. Do your level best with what you have.

Thought: Religious
Integrity.
Every
religion aims at unity of man. God is one, man divided him. Religion is not a
line to divide people but to unite them. Followers of religion alter the
religious words to fulfil their own interests. Leaders or followers of one
religion should understand flaws in their religion and should rectify it for
betterment of humanity.
