17. Eduthoughts -9

·      More than anyone else, it is a teacher who can find out the hidden talents of a child. A  student may be  weak in  studies  but he/she may have talent. It is the duty of a teacher to provide encouragement to develop hidden talents.
·      Teachers can  transform empty classrooms into ‘active’ ones where  learners are exposed to reading…
·      Developing a positive self image is important. Remember 'Mother Theresa… how she kept up her work in dire times….Our attitude can change the attitude of others  too.
·      "Reading maketh a full man; conference a ready man; and writing an exact man.-Francis Bacon;  "vayichal valarum, vayichillenkil valayum."- Kunjunni Mash…  These quotes by two great writers  affirm the  importance of reading. Reading is for pleasure, reading is for knowledge, reading is to think  differently , reading for  a better life…
·      To make our mind calm...to solve our problems...to create a healthy body…to get relief from stress and tension... prayer  is essential…It can do wonders…Let Prayer be an entry activity  for  the day and let the link talk between God and Soul  continue …to remain fresh for the whole day…
·      Today, on  International Women’s Day… It is time to keep a promise …  high time to end violence against women...We  have to  protect women from all  sorts of  atrocities. Only an educated society can make  a difference…
·      If we make a mistake we   must repent for  it.  But when  we continue to commit mistakes  repentance  is of no use… One ought to see to it that  no more mistakes are made…
·      School education is free  in our country…Yet, after completing higher studies  many go abroad in quest of  better pay,   with the  faint  refrain “unemployment” to justify  ones choice…If only,  they  paid back for the free education they received by helping the poor and needy in our  country!
·      Failure, is  the stepping stone to success. Many are  unaware of the fact that  Abraham Lincoln repeatedly failed to get elected. Yet he continued his hard work and later became successful.
·      While  engaging  in  conversation with  people, some of us  expect  them  to  behave the way we want us to… and when this doesn’t  happen we  distance ourselves  from them. "Programmed Assumptions  create  negativism".
·      Parents are always Active, Running after you Every day, Nurturing you Tenderly and Shouting when you are naughty. So… in the evening of their lives, don’t send them to Old Age Homes...
·      Determination, right attitude and hard work creates a positive energy. This creates  a confidence which is essential for success…an energy booster,  to face the challenges in  life.
