I Answer any two questions not exceeding three pages each

1. Suggest  different ways  of “presenting  subject matter in such a form that learners
      construct knowledge”.

2. Choosing suitable content suggest ways of developing formal thinking ability in
     the English class room.

3. How will you go about analyzing the content  in a Course Book from a
      pedagogic perspective?

4.  Illustrate ways of using  knowledge drawn from  Educational Philosophy,
     Educational Sociology and Educational Psychology for  teaching  English.

II Answer  any six question (not exceeding one page each)

5. Write short notes on the Kerala Curriculum Framework with reference to the
      teaching of English.
6. Suggest different ways in which ‘teacher talk’ can help learners.
7. Suggest an activity for Problem Solving  based on a lesson of your choice.
8. Write short notes on learner needs with reference to ‘individual difference’.
9. Suggest suitable tasks for LSRW with reference to   the passage ‘The Mass Media’
       [Standard IX  Course Book]
10. What are  the aims of teaching English in India? Suggest how it can be fulfilled
       with reference  to  the prescribed  Secondary Level Course Book .
11. Explain and illustrate  Inductive and Deductive approach  to teaching  grammar
       using a grammar item.
12. How would you correct  the pupil who uses ‘When I saw him he play football’?
13. Write short notes on Process Skills  in English.
14.Give examples of questions to assess different levels of the Cognitive Domain
        (Bloom’s Taxonomy).
